Even though I have lots more recent weddings to show, I couldn’t forget about these two brides and the beautiful, classy summer wedding they had. I’ve got a little time, so here it is.
Jo and Marina were such fun to work with and even on their engagement shoot I could tell their wedding day was going to be relaxed, fun and all about the love.
The day started with them getting ready together at The Hotel Du Vin in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. This is such a gorgeous little boutique hotel and if you’ve never been, I’d highly recommend it! I’ve never known bridal preparations to be so relaxed and informal, it was quite refreshing to just chill out with the girls as they took their time getting ready…and laughing about various things such as stuffing the complimentary snacks and bottom munchies(knicker lines)!!! Haha I was laughing so much it was difficult to take photos!
The transport for the ladies was a stunning little cream VW Camper, perfect for a summers day and the classy, light and airy theme of their wedding. Arriving at The Royal Wells Hotel in glorious sunshine, the couple entered the totally white Victorian styled ceremony room together, with huge smiles on their faces and were greeted by their close friends and family. In fact they didn’t stop smiling throughout the ceremony and beyond and it was infectious!
Confetti throwing was followed by a short trip in the Camper van(woohoo I got a go too!) down to Mount Ephraim Common, which is a piece of countryside in the midst of a town. Here we were able to get some beautiful portraits, including a visit from Rafferty, Jo and Marina’s cute and excitable dog. The whole experience was very relaxed and natural and again, full of laughs.
After our little wander through the countryside, in the sunshine, the couple and their guests went on to have an informal meal, with speeches given around one large yet intimate table. Followed up by relaxing drinks in the bar and a party that went on into the night…..
‘When a girl is in love, you can see it in her smile…’ ♥
